FOUNDER & CEO

Dr. Weiqing Gu specializes in differential geometry and topology, with applications to Big Data analysis, machine learning, robotics, and medicine. She is passionate about using geometric intuition to develop interpretable AI systems.

HEAD OF MACHINE LEARNING

Eric is a recent graduate of Harvey Mudd College with experience in interpretable reinforcement learning and geometric data analysis. He is excited to build a machine learning system robust and interpretable enough to be used in a hospital environment.

API PRODUCT MANAGER & LEAD SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Sam is a lead software engineer with extensive experience architecting, developing, and managing full stack analytics applications. This ranges from large scale geospatial applications to commercialization of research for multiple government labs. He is currently pursuing a MS in computational and applied mathematics.

MACHINE LEARNING ENGINEER & DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR

Hyo Bin You is a seasoned software engineer, having had a variety of roles like Site Reliability Engineer and Fullstack Developer across different industries and fields. He has extensive experience in Machine Learning, Databases, and Application Development, but additionally has a background in medical sciences. Outside of coding, Hyo Bin is passionate about education and medicine, currently mentoring low-income/first-gen students and conducting research in immunology and neuroscience.

MARKETING & MACHINE LEARNING RESEARCHER

Georgia is a recent graduate of Harvey Mudd College whose interests lie at the intersection of health and technology. With expertise in health data analysis and EHR systems, Georgia is excited to contribute to Dasion’s mission of building intuitive AI for healthcare.

MACHINE LEARNING RESEARCHER

Justin is a junior at Harvey Mudd College with a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science. His research interests are in deep learning and optimization.

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Philip is a student at UCSD studying Computer Science. He is passionate about developing practical applications that solve real-world problems. With experience in full-stack development, Philip primarily focuses on developing mobile and web experiences for Dasion’s users.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INTERN

Taewoo (Tay) aspires to be a cross-disciplinary engineer and entrepreneur with his experience in the engineering, computer science, and business fields. He has contributed as a researcher, designer, and CAD/CAM/computer software user at Dasion and in other companies.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING INTERN

Jonathan is a senior studying at Troy High School, with experience in software engineering and AI/ML. He is passionate about full-stack software development and the implementation of applied mathematics in computational theory. At Dasion, he primarily contributes to web development and design as well as multidisciplinary research.

MACHINE LEARNING INTERN

Denny is a senior at Troy High School with experience in data science and machine learning. He has worked on research projects focused on health applications of machine learning including pancreatic cancer and skin cancer diagnosis and ECG classification.

MACHINE LEARNING & DATA SCIENTIST INTERN

A current first-year at UCLA majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Kenneth is passionate about the broad applications of big data and its connection to society and ethics. He is particularly interested in NLP and quantitative finance. At Dasion, Kenneth works on data engineering and ML research.
